When you are 100 years old it’s fun to try something new. That’s what Braemar Hospital did this winter – by having a stand at the Fieldays for the very first time.
So why did we have a stand at the Fieldays?
- We wanted to lift the demand for treatment at Braemar Hospital from prospective patients proactively making the choice to come to us.
- To celebrate our centenary with people in the Waikato and across the country.
- To lift the awareness of the Braemar Charitable Trust and its Community Surgery Programme.
We achieved this and more. Connecting with our community in a different way and place was a great opportunity for us demonstrate the Braemar Way. Here’s some of the quotes from our staff who worked on the Fieldays stand, expressing what they experienced:
“We heard some wonderful stories from people when asked if they had heard of Braemar. One lady specially stopped by just to say thank you for her care with us after staying with us for weeks after her surgery.”
