What is a private hospital?
A private hospital is a hospital that operates through direct payments from patients, health insurance providers and organisations like Te Whatu Ora/Health New Zealand or ACC.
Who can receive treatment at Braemar Hospital?
You can receive treatment at Braemar Hospital if:
- Your specialist is credentialled to work at Braemar Hospital, and
- You are directly paying your hospital and specialist fees; or
- You have health insurance that covers your hospital and specialist fees; or
- Te Whatu Ora/Health New Zealand has outsourced your treatment to Braemar Hospital and they will cover your hospital and specialist fees; or
- ACC has outsourced your treatment to Braemar Hospital and they will cover your hospital and specialist fees; or
- You successfully apply to the Braemar Charitable Trust for free surgery through their Charitable Surgery Programme.
