Meals

Braemar Hospital:

We have our own on-site kitchen that provides a tempting range of 'home cooked' meals.

If you are able to eat following your surgery, your menu will have been completed for you. Normally most people appreciate soup and sandwiches after their operation.

If you have any special dietary requirements or requests, please discuss these with your nurse on your admission to the ward.

In the afternoon, you will be given a menu for completion for your meals for the next day. Your nurse will discuss your dietary needs with you and help you to complete it.

Please advise your nurse if your meal does not meet with your requirements.

For those over the age of 18 years, a complimentary glass of wine is available with your evening meal.

We also have our own children's menu that serves a range of meals designed to tempt our younger patients. The menu includes favourites such as Hospital Hot Dogs and Braemar Burgers.

Meal times are approximately:
• Breakfast 7:30 - 8:00am
• Lunch 11:50am - 12:15pm
• Dinner 5:30pm - 5:45pm

Your visitors are welcome to dine with you by arrangement. Please discuss ordering a visitor's meal with your nurse or the healthcare assistant. There is a moderate charge for visitor's meals.

Our Day Hospital provides light refreshments after your operation or procedure.
